Wishtree book

Hi everyone,

In library we have had quiet reading time. In that time I have found my new favourite genre. The type that I  love is graphic novels.

I love grapic novels because they are super easy to read, you can see what the characters are feeling and you can see who’s talking and not forget. We have only read 2 books in book chat this year, but my my absolute favourite has been wish tree. The reason this was my favourite is because

of the storyline. The story line is from the perspective of the tree. On the first day of May every year.  Everyone in the town come and hangs a piece of  material or object on a branch. They write their wish on the price of material hoping for the wish to come true. But one day a boy comes and writes a very  odd wish on the trees trunk. It shocks everybody.

Would you like to read the wishtree? And why?

    Hi Taylor,

Great blog post! I’m so thrilled that you’ve found a new genre in graphic novels. Graphic novels are new to me as well and I also enjoy them. I really like the ones where they adapt a classic novel into graphic novel format. I highly recommend the Anne of Green Gables graphic novel. Maybe we can swap recommendations?

In response to your question, I have read Wishtree and LOVED it! Like you, I like the way the story is told from the perspective of the tree; it makes it a bit different to other novels. You might like to read other books by Katherine Applegate; she’s awesome!

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Miss Davidson.
